Born in Fairfax, Virginia. He was raised in Houston, Texas. A miraculous birth. He was a birth that his mom Christine was told, impossible. His mom before having him was told he would not be born. When his mother gave birth she was then told by doctors in Virginia that he would not make it. James proved professional doctors wrong both times and survived amongst defying odds. At the age of 10 James had a near death experience. He was rushed to the hospital with bad stomach pain. It became so bad that for a few moments, he flat-lined.
James caught the acting bug and landed his first major agent and audition at the age of 12. A flurry of commercials followed and he began to hone his craft at acting classes and workshops. To which he was the only minor involved and invited to adult acting classes and workshops. Holzier later filmed 2 made for TV movies in which he was the male lead in both. Also, he had may stage credits to his name in which he played the male lead in Shakespearean Plays and won rave reviews. Offered roles in films and turned them down. Deciding to operate on his instincts and passion instead. Not selling himself out.
Hollywood is taking notice as his rising positive reputation and profile is sinking in. As the BBC in the United Kingdom described him as, “He separates the gap between celebrities and us.” Babes and Hunks, has mentioned Holzier as “humble…makes you realize dreams are possible. “He is an actor a lot of other actors are talking about,” a Hollywood insider notes.
