Malcolm Marshall (April 18, 1958 – November 4, 1999) was a West Indian cricketer.
Probably will go down in history as the best West Indian fast bowler of all time, and one of the best ever from anywhere. He made his name with an out-and-out pace, despite his medium height of 5’ 10 1/2”, becoming prominent in the WI team in 1983 (after more senior fellow fast bowlers Colin Croft and Sylvester Clarke went on a rebel tour to South Africa), and became an intelligent bowler who could do a lot with the ball in his later years. He was instrumental in many of the WIian wins in the eighties.
He died of colon cancer in 1999.
