Biography of Sabeer Bhatia

Sabeer Bhatia is a co-founder of Hotmail.

He was born in Chandigarh, India. After a brief two year stint at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India, he transferred to the California Institute of Technology where he received his Bachelor’s degree, and then went on to receive his Master’s degree from Stanford University. He worked on portable computers for Apple Computer before becoming one of the original employees at Firepower Systems, where he worked on PPC based workstation computers. Along with Jack Smith, he founded Hotmail in 1995, which was then sold Hotmail to Microsoft for US $400 million.
